I just wanted to let everyone know that the races for Oklahoma this weekend are cancelled. |
Friday night wasn't bad. There were 65 cars there. I finished 5th in my heat and 6th in my B Main. I didn't make the feature, but was ready to try again Saturday night. Saturday night I was excited to start 4th in my heat. We had a bad start to my heat and they made us start again. The 2nd start was just as bad, but they let us go green. I was on the outside row getting ready to turn into turn 1 when the guy on the inside slid up and clipped my left front tire. This flipped my car and spun me into the inner wall. We spent the rest of the race tearing the car apart and replacing it with new parts so it was loadable to head home. It was a long drive back to Ohio after having a weekend you weren't expecting and wanting to have. |
We spent the day Monday, at Gaerte Engines, by doing a chassis dyno on our motors. All we have been doing the last few days is preparing and I'm just ready to go out racing! We are heading out tomorrow for Devil's Bowl Speedway Mesquite, Texas. Listen "Live" Friday & Saturday night on racinboys.com |
We would like to thank Neidert's Mowers for coming back on board with us this week. We are still waiting to hear about Corporate sponsorship from Potash Corporation. I drove to Maxim on Thursday & Friday to pick up my other race car frame. We spent all day yesterday putting the car together. I am pleased to announce the cars are put together and ready to Chassis Dyno next Friday. I will be traveling to Indiana on Friday to pick up my two motors from Gaerte Engines and doing a Chassis Dyno on both cars. We have last minute things that we are waiting on and doing, but feel very good about what's done. We are looking forward to Dallas, Texas in less than 2 weeks. I encourage all of you to tune into WKKI Radio, K94.3FM, on Wed. night from 7:30pm-9:00pm. I have been asked to be apart of this radio interview. They will be doing Driver Interviews and promoting Waynesfield Motor Sports Park. Please go to www.ascsracing.com to read current articles about the Lucas Oil National Tour. **They have announced that All the 360 ASCS Lucas Oil National Tour races will be aired Live. You will be able to Listen Live, Free of charge, on www.racinboys.com They have also announced that they have added a race for us on August 28th & 29th in New Mexico at Hollywood Hills Speedway. We hope you have enjoyed getting updates from us. We are so excited for what's ahead for Darren Long Motorsports. |
