The first two caution flags of the night were displayed to the field, by flagman Jon Burden, for Chad Gullet and Tim Allison. Allison and Dennis Yoakam made contact on the backstretch and Allison had a left rear go flat. When racing resumed, Daggett, Wolters, Dussel, Wilson and Stinson held the top five spots. On lap 16, Greg Wilson and Mike Brecht made contact in turn two. The two drivers had been racing very hard in a battle for second. The contact force Stinson to spin and Brecht had terminal damage. Summary from waynesfieldmotorsportspark.com:
The NRA 360 Sprints took to the track next for their 25 lap feature event. #34 Luke Hall and #4u Rick Boughan raced into a fast battle for the lead. As they began working thru lapped traffic, Boughan got caught up with a lap car and brought out the yellow flag with a spin into the infield. Boughan was able to keep his car going but had to restart at the tail of the field because he caused the caution to wave. Hall took the green flag at the front to restart the race but #7L Darren Long had Hall within his sight. Elida, Ohio's Darren Long has had an incredibly hot start this season and tonight would prove more of the same. Long worked his way past Hall and did a great job handling the lapped traffic to pull away for his 2nd win in a row at Waynesfield Motorsports Park. Luke Hall kept Long within his sight but could only manage a 2nd place finish. #11 Tim Allison had a great run to finish in the 3rd posistion. NRA Sprint heats were won by; #11 Tim Allison, #3 Tim Norman, #17 Jared Horstman, and #7L Darren Long. #97 Cory Seeling won the NRA Sprint B-main.

Summary from eldoraspeedway.com:
Brian Sebetto had only seen Eldora one other time and that night, he totaled his Sprint Car. Sunday had different and rewarding results. While the score sheets show him leading from start to finish, the race was a totally different story. With only one yellow flag slowing the pace there were multiple packs of action, yet, with the qualify of competition, only one lapped car throughout the event. Sebetto found the famed Eldora high banks much more to his liking and drove them as if he were a weekly competitor. Multi time winner Darren Long was running a distant runner-up; however, as the laps began to wind down, he was reeling Sebetto in. As if he had one eye on the lap counter, the final five laps really found him applying the pressue and when the white flag unfurled, he moved with two car lengths of the leader to bring the crowd to their feet. Two cars, about to become lapped vehicles, caused a slight hesitation for Sebetto and that was what Long had hoped for. A breath taking bonsai move off of turn four found him literally inches away from stealing away the win, with a jubilant Sebetto emerging from his car on victory lane. Long accepted runner-up honors, while Butch Schroeder, took third, an impressive Luke Hall nailed fourth and Greg Wilson completed the top five.
